Hey - love your vertical wall passion! I planted a vertical garden for my entry in New Zealand's Ellerslie International Flower Show this year, but unfortunately I never got to properly install it due to the Christchurch Earthquake... So I still have 42 panels of plants sitting in my backyard which I am looking forward to installing correctly once out house in earthquake-repaired! Feel free to look back through my blog for the details on how I did it using Hellogreen Wall Panels :)
Oh wow, that’s too bad, I remember I was researching the Christchurch Airport during the flood earlier this year… Tough stuff.
Please send in some pictures when you get your garden installed!I would LOVE to see it and I’m sure the followers of this blog would too. :)
I will definitely check out your blog, thanks for telling me about it!
New Zealand’s largest living wall has been recently installed at the new Britomart East Complex in Auckland - and its three storey’s high!
The green wall has been designed and installed by Natural Habitats and has been growing off site for the past few month. It is created out of a custom-designed planting palette and is 120mm deep.
Featuring a range of native and exotic ferns, climbers, epiphytes and groundcovers - and they were all specifically chosen for the environment and the shadows that are casted on the walls during the day.
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for following my new blog. I’m very excited to see so many people started to follow after just 9 hours since I announced it! But, I gotta be honest with you, I’m more excited to start posting pictures, precedents, design schematics, DIY vertical gardens, plants, everything from large corporate budget projects to scavenged (free) projects, and even my own experience building them this summer! I started my vertical garden experiments today, some shitty cellphone pics to come… yet again I forgot my camera. So sorry. I’ve written it on my hand so that I remember tomorrow. I promise better pics then.
I had a great day today, not only did all of you follow me (thank you, thank you!!) but one of my friends helped me start my gardens and I got twice as far as I would have working by myself. Many thanks to my fellow landscape student, Becca-withnotumblrtolinkto!
